Je te veux

Je te veux ("I Want You") is one of Erik Satie's most charming and popular compositions. Written in 1902 as a valse chantée for singer and piano, the work was composed for the French cabaret performer Paulette Darty. Although originally conceived as a vocal piece, Satie's solo piano arrangement has become equally beloved and is now a staple of the piano repertoire.

Unlike the composer's more introspective works such as the Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes, Je te veux radiates warmth, elegance, and effortless charm.
