Humoresque in G-flat Major

The Humoresque in G-flat Major, Op. 101 No. 7 is Antonín Dvořák's best-known piano work and one of the most recognizable short pieces of the Romantic repertoire. It forms part of the cycle Eight Humoresques, composed in 1894 shortly after the composer's return to Bohemia from the United States. The seventh Humoresque quickly became an international favorite thanks to its memorable melody and graceful charm.

Despite its title, the work is not humorous in the modern sense, but instead conveys a light, relaxed, and affectionate character.
