Waves of the Danube

Donauwellen (Waves of the Danube) is the most celebrated waltz by Romanian composer Iosif Ivanovici and remains one of the finest examples of the late nineteenth-century salon waltz. Composed in 1880, the work quickly gained international popularity for its graceful melodies, flowing rhythms, and brilliant orchestration.
